With two retail stores in Bur Dubai and Al Barsha and a central warehouse, we serve thousands of walk-in customers along with a strong base of long-term B2B clients across the UAE. As part of our ongoing expansion and digital transformation, we are upgrading all financial and operational systems to modern standards. We are now seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to support our business through this next phase of growth and improvement. Role Overview The Accountant will oversee daily financial activities across both stores and the warehouse, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, proper documentation, and strong financial controls. This role involves handling receivables, payables, VAT compliance, petty cash, supplier statements, and daily reconciliations. The candidate will play a key role in strengthening the company’s financial structure and supporting operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Daily Financial Operations • Update and reconcile daily sales for all branches • Record cash, card, and B2B credit sales transactions • Reconcile POS reports and settlement slips • Maintain daily bookkeeping in Odoo Accounting Accounts Receivable (B2B Clients) • Monitor outstanding invoices • Follow up with B2B customers for timely payments • Prepare customer statements and aging reports • Maintain clean and accurate receivables records Accounts Payable (Suppliers) • Process supplier invoices and verify delivery accuracy • Maintain supplier ledgers • Prepare payment schedules • Reconcile supplier statements VAT & Compliance • Prepare VAT calculations and documentation • Ensure all invoices meet UAE VAT requirements • Assist with quarterly VAT filing • Maintain proper audit trails Petty Cash & Branch Expenses • Manage store petty cash and verify receipts • Maintain accurate petty cash logs • Track daily expenses for each branch Inventory & Purchasing Coordination • Coordinate with stores and the warehouse on stock entries • Verify purchase orders and Goods Received Notes (GRN) • Support purchasing control processes Reporting • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports • Cash flow summaries • Sales vs. expense reports • Profitability insights • Customer aging reports Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 2–4 years of UAE accounting experience Skills • Strong understanding of UAE VAT rules • Knowledge of ERP/accounting systems (Odoo preferred) • Proficiency in Excel • Experience in retail, hardware, or similar industry preferred • Strong communication and organizational skills • High attention to detail • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Benefits Offered • Company Visa • Medical Insurance • Annual Flight Ticket • Competitive Salary • Long-term career growth in a 45-year-old business
